Final Blog Post

It felt like I walked into this class only yesterday, the prof was greeting everyone kindly and my first impression on prof Seslow, I thought to myself “ok he looks like a cool prof, hopefully he doesn’t give me a stressful semester!” turned out to be the most calmed and relax class I ever took in college so far! I honestly thought this class was about typing stories online, but it turned out to be the complete opposite. I learned so many things in this class I can’t even type out because it will literally be an online story.

I first learned how to make my own gif from the website https://giphy.com the gif was based on what I like, so short story said I made my first gif on the movie Justice League because i like watching movies and superheroes are one of them.

After learning how to make gifs i learned how to photoshop and making my own portraits and also learning how to make a cool panoramic hack on my own cellphone! The panoramic trick was making your self show up twice in one picture. That experience was one I will never forget it was a fun exercise and I also got to know the class.

During the time of making gifs and portraits, it was halloween season so I made my projects based on a halloween scene like the portrait project on the right of Micheal Myers. Besides Christmas my second favorite season is Halloween, today its not the same as it was when I was younger but I still do enjoy it.

I can’t say i was fully aboard with CT 101 there was days i was absent due to sickness and other personal issues but i did catch up on the work and there were some failures and frustrations during the process like making a domain name or even looking for the perfect picture or objects for my projects. But overall the experience was fun and gained a lot of ” tech-knowledge “— get it?….

After strengthening my photoshop skills the this self portrait of Jason, it did take me a while to understand it like making layers for the portrait to  synchronized how it is right now. There were also so many features you could work with that will make your work pizzazz like the magic lasso tool, if there was a background in your image u could use this tool to pick out the object in your image and delete the background.

My overall favorite like the rest of the class of what I learn and made was, drum roll please…………….

The Vapor-Wave Project….. From combining all my skills my final Vapor-Wave of what I love was the RX-7. This also inspired me of the domain I choose which is http://JDMOutbreak.com/ . I choose this domain to make as a website because I’m car enthusiast, I love cars and working on them. This website is all about JDM cars which is my favorite selection of vehicles. My Vapor-Wave which based on an Mazda RX-7 is my dream car besides the skyline but rotary engine I just have a thing for it.

I can’t believe believe the semester is over already, I mean I’m glad it is but not for this class 🙁 Its something about this class that so relaxing and, makes you feel right at home. The coolest thing about CT 101 was making my own website, nobody knows that I enjoy JDM cars but from making this website it expresses what I feel about them and now the whole world could see what I feel and experienced. I would love to get an ‘A’ in this class… who wouldn’t? but it didn’t come easy and it wasn’t, I went through a lot of work in my projects and writing is not my thing, I express my self with art of my own. There were ups and downs, and I did missed a couple days of class but I made up the work by asking questions and getting the help from Prof Seslow. The experience in this class was very exciting and I learned so many techniques of photoshopping that I could use for future preferences. I will continue on with my website and update it daily!

I highly recommend this class if you ever want to gain knowledge of photoshop and to create your own website. I hope my propaganda poster helps you guys join! Ill like to give a big Thanks to Prof Ryan Seslow he helped out a lot and the cooooolest prof You will ever get.

For those whom doesn’t understand what JDM means, it is a acronym that stands for ‘Japanese Domestic market’ Thanks to Japan we have insanely fast yet beautiful whips. JDM cars are strictly Japanese made, in order to get one it must be imported from Japan. JDM originated from a city in Japan called Osaka. In the 90’s JDM became popular, the movie ‘Fast and Furious’ inspired by a street racing story made JDM more recognizable. The most favorite of car enthusiast is unfortunately Honda Civic, fortunately because its easy and affordable to modify. Honda civics is popular all around the world, the right modifies could beat a Lamborghini in a drag race which is a win win but also makes others upset, you guys know who you are!
